BEIRUT, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's Minister of Information Ziad Makary demonstrated intent to bolster ties with China through media collaboration in a recent interview with Xinhua ahead of the World Media Summit.
Makary highlighted the vital role of media in fostering international understanding and cooperation. With growing engagement between Lebanon and China in various aspects of social life, the media is viewed as an essential tool to deepen understanding and foster cultural exchanges between the two countries, he added.
Makary said he was eagerly anticipating the World Media Summit, viewing it as an excellent opportunity to showcase Lebanon's media landscape.
Makary expressed optimism about leveraging technology and innovation to strengthen media ties, providing a more advanced and developed media landscape.
He also highlighted the vast potential for further cooperation, especially in areas like culture, trade and education. ■
